The fourth and final book in this series and the second half of the DS9 novelization of several episodes during the Dominion War, but stopping at the retaking of DS9, leaving the remainder of the war and the retaking of Cardassia untold in novel form. It’s well enough written and all the main points of the stories during that time are here, but there’s a lot of season 7 missing with absolutely no mention of the holographic program named Vic Fontaine. It’s a shame to lose all that content, but cuts obviously had to be cut or this would be a 10 book series of just novelizations.
