The series followed an Alien Life form (aka ALF) from the planet Melmac, who crash lands into the garage of a suburban family. Unable to repair his ship, the family takes him in as a guest, and eventual member of the family. ALF was a sarcastic, lovable crature who had a craving for cats, a delicacy on Melmac.
