The Excelsior! Or maybe it\’s the Enterprise-B? Perhaps it\’s the USS Melbourne. The first time I laid eyes on this ship, I hated it. How dare they design an almost Enterprise?! And that smarmy Captain Styles, ooh, Scotty showed him but good. (I love you James Sikking and Doohan) Is Scotty single handedly responsible for ruining the Excelsior \”Grand Experiment\”? I was surprised to read that this class was eventually \”one of the most widely used designs in all of Starfleet\”. I don\’t know if I could watch an entire series with this as the hero ship. It showed up way too much in D.S.9. It\’s just such a platform. Like someone dropped the original Enterprise, then stepped on it a few times. And yet as always, as I built it I learned to love it. I should mention, Ben nailed this ship a long time ago. I\’m just running out of Starfleet ships to build! Paulygons
