Alex Acosta resigns as labor secretary amid intense scrutiny of his handling of Jeffrey Epstein case

Epstein, a financier, was indicted this week on charges of sex trafficking. In 2008, Acosta signed off on a plea deal for Epstein after similar accusations that was widely viewed as too lenient.
