So, I have an Xbox One S and a 4K TV (50UH5530) with faux HDR, and I recently went to test out some of my 4K Blu-Ray discs. I popped Arrival in, and instantly noticed that the film played at 60fps. When I opened the UI overlay built into the Xbox, it told me that the film was running at 29.6fps. I searched through the TV\’s picture settings and there was nothing in there to turn off \”smooth picture\” or anything like that, which I know a lot of TV\’s have. I also tested BvS to make sure it wasn\’t just the one movie doing it, but it also ran at the same frame rate. Finally, I used a regular Blu-Ray, and it ran at the normal 30fps.

So my question: is there a way to view these discs at a lower frame rate?
