Collins was indicted in August 2018 by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York (SDNY). According to the 30-page indictment, the alleged insider trading scheme involved multiple members of Collins\’ family. Also named in the original indictment are the congressman\’s son, Cameron Collins, and his in-law through marriage, Stephen Zarsky, the father of Cameron Collins\’ spouse.
